ANGER MANAGEMENT SKILLS FOR CHILDREN’S
A specially designed program to help children understand and express their emotions in healthy, age-appropriate ways
“Helping Children Understand, Express, and Manage Their Emotions Better.”
Children feel big emotions — but they do not always have the words or skills to handle them. When a child gets angry, they may cry, shout, throw things, or hit. This is not because they are bad children. It is because they have not yet learned how to manage what they are feeling inside.
The Anger Management Skills for Children program at GroomX teaches kids in a fun, simple, and age-appropriate way how to understand their anger, recognize what triggers it, and learn healthy ways to express and calm it down. The result is a happier child who behaves better at home and at school — and a calmer household for the whole family.
Sometimes when a child gets angry, what they are actually feeling underneath is sadness, embarrassment, or fear. This program helps children explore those deeper feelings so they can deal with the real emotion — not just the anger on the surface. Parents and teachers also find this program very helpful for understanding and supporting their children better.

What you will learn — module outline
This program has 8 carefully designed modules. Each module builds on the previous one, so you learn step by step in the right order.
Children learn what anger actually is in simple words. They discover that anger is just an emotion — like happiness or sadness — and that it is okay to feel it, but important to handle it well.
What makes children angry? Being left out, a cancelled playdate, not getting what they want, being teased? This module helps children identify and talk about what specifically triggers their anger.
Children learn to notice what happens in their body when they get angry — a fast heartbeat, a hot face, tight fists. Recognizing these signals early helps them calm down before anger takes over.
Simple, child-friendly techniques to manage anger in the moment — like counting to ten, taking deep breaths, or walking away to a calm space. These are taught through fun exercises and role-play.
Children learn that it is okay to say "I am angry" or "I feel hurt" — and that using words is always better than hitting, screaming, or breaking things. They practice expressing feelings in safe, respectful ways.
Five easy-to-remember anger management strategies designed specifically for children. Each strategy is taught with stories, games, and visual tools that make learning fun and memorable for kids of all ages.
Sometimes anger turns into hitting, pushing, or saying hurtful things. This module helps children understand the line between anger and aggression — and teaches them how to stop before crossing it.
In the final module, children put everything together through guided practice sessions. With the trainer's support, they apply the skills learned to real-life situations and leave feeling more confident and in control.
